Save the Dates - Out! Invitations Coming - In!

This morning our photographer came by to deliver the save the dates and they look great! We should be able to get them all mailed out by tomorrow as we started on labeling last week! So exciting! Now, I know why people become wedding coordinators, it's actually a fun process and if it's not your money; you'll be truly stress free. Next we order invitation which should be in, mid June and will mail those out the first week of July, which is the anniversary of our engagement and will be a year that we started this blog. We have such great history even if we are a young couple. Just love all these great memories!

Annual Cephus Crawfish Boil

One word FUN! I love and try to attend every crawfish boil my uncle Nat and aunt Tina host. This year was Anthony's first time and he was ready! So we made plans to follow my uncle on his way back to Victoria after work on Friday around 3pm. We got home a bit after 3pm and my uncle was waiting. We got our bags and dogs and got in the car. About 3 hours later we were in Victoria, TX at my uncle's 10 acres. As soon as you arrive you RELAX. That night we settled and helped get ready for Saturday when all the guest would arrive. In all honesty, we did have a trial run with the crawfish and crabs; and it was good just having fun conversation with family. Dana was so excited to be with family she couldn't sleep so the next morning we didn't wake until 9:30am! Which is late for Dana, normally working hours are 7:30am to 9pm. Anyhoo, several of our cousins had made it in from Houston, Atlanta, Katy, etc and more kept coming, my father arrived with my sister and brother-in-law who drove in from Louisiana. I was very happy to see them however my mom couldn't attend and she was very missed. When everyone arrived it was a good time to be had by all we visited, talked, danced, sang, ate and drink. The scene was circles of family getting back in touch, children playing, and dogs running. We didn't want the night to end even though my eyes were starting to close. It was hard to say goodbye and end a great day. So we headed to bed. The next morning a few family members where still around, we ate breakfast and then had to head home as Anthony needed to be at work at 6pm. We really enjoyed ourselves from the drive there to the drive back. Just a great weekend!

Dana's Birthday

This year my birthday fell on Thursday and I had appointments scheduled so I didn't think we were going do anything until Friday, however after my last appointment Anthony picked me up from work and had flowers and three balloons. After we went to dinner a Maria Maria downtown, a fabulous restaurant owned by Carlos Santana. Walk a bit and tour the museum before heading back home where he gave me a foot massage. Over all it was a great day and total surprise. My friends were aware of Anthony's surprise but I had no idea and really enjoyed my day. I also received numerous calls, emails, text messages, and phone calls on my birthday I feel very blessed to be loved and thought of on my birthday can't wait for my next birthday.

Order Up

All of my wonderful bridesmaids got their information in and we where able to order their dresses. The order is in and we should have then sometime in July. Oh knew that it would take 3 months for a dress to arrive?!? But, they are so worth it, the dress that were decided on are gorgeous and compliment my dress very well. We also decided on the tuxes and coordination vest and tie colors. We are both excited and believe the color of the flowers will just pop and just give that tropical favor we're looking for. With just a few months to go we seem to still be on track!

Easter Sunday

Anthony and I got up early to attend church. Good we did as the A/C wasn't on the church was filled with people very quickly. In fact some had to stand to the sides of the pew and in the back of the church. The service was beautiful and the message was positive and uplifting. After church we when to Anthony fav, Black Eyed Pea restaurant. It was pretty packed as well but we were able to get one of the last tables before the wait began. We've been in this restaurant so much that we know the manger who is a really cool guy. We ordered, ate and talked to him for a bit before heading back home. It was a beautiful morning and a lovely day. Today was also our friend Demi's birthday we called her and sent her well wishes however she never mentioned receiving the flowers that we send to her Saturday, hope she's enjoying her day as Anthony and I were able to enjoy at home together.

Engagement Pics

Happy Day, we had our engagement pictures this morning. It was cold up the sky was clear and no traffic in central Austin at that time of day. We had original plan to have our session March 15th however the weather was awful and Duncan was ill so we had to reschedule it for April 4th. We only had one outfit each and took pictures at three locations. We are so happy how they turned out. After the shoot, Anthony dropped me off at my part-time and by the end of the day our awesome photographers had our pictures up to view. Next day they had a video created, which was unexpected and a proof of the save the day. Hopefully we'll have them soon to share with family and friends.
