Yesterday was so busy and today will follow. My parents are still in town and my Mom is attend the meeting I had with my wedding coordinator on the timeline of events before the ceremony. We discussed how the drought and totally changed to look of the venue but is it still perfect to Anthony and me. Okay, I think we discussed everything...expected guest count, food, cake, drinks, table, chairs, table cloth and overlays, flowers and photographers, flow of traffic, music, toast, microphone, gift table, sign in table, buffet layout, over all chain of events! My goodness its finally feeling really real I'm getting married and I can see exactly what it looks like. And, I love it!

Bridal Portraits

This weekend my wonderful parents came into town to help us with the move to the new house and my mother is attending my bridal session with me. We have a busy morning running errands. Then we picked up my dress and headed the to get it steamed however, the place I was going lost power and we went to several dry cleaners but it was after 3pm and they were closed so, my mom and I head to bed bath and beyond and purchased a hand steamer. After we were on our way to hair and makeup. I was told about Brizy Tait through my friend Carmen who previously got marry and had her perform her beauty. Brizy is party of the stylist studio and that's where we thought we were meeting but opened her on shop and I was her second bridal to meet there. Her shop is so nice and romantic great to get you in that feel. So, this was my first time meeting her and my mother and I were very impressed she was very sweet and personable and worked fast. I had my makeup airbrushed an and it was flawless and on my hair she used a 20' flar to spiral curl and it looked fierce. Extremely pleased and will use her for the wedding and I know my sister and Val want to take airbursh makeup too for the big day. After, my mother and I drove to Manor to meet my photographer. We steamed the dress quickly and started the session. They took several pictures at indoor and then we drove to an historical church built in 1822 which was beautiful and took several pictures there. After we get back and I get out of the truck and there is a stain on my train I didn't get upset and planned to call around to see how I could get it out. Once I put my regular clothes on and drove home we didn't get in the door until after 1am. But it was a very busy but successful day!

Toyota Family

So, today it's official we are a Toyota driving family. A 2-car family...this is so exciting in our new home and in a new phrase of our life. Just trying to make the right decision for our family but I liked us car pooling and it seemed to save us money.

Dress Fitting

Hip Hip Hooray! So, today I took my beautiful gown the the best seamstress in town and she advised that the dress zipper could be let out for comfort and she added the bushel. I'm so excited because I haven't been the best bride in losing a size. I mentioned it to Anthony and he told me he just wants me to be fit and healthy...I didn't need to lose weight especially not my JLO! He is so sweet, but its unfair...he can work out the week before the wedding and be a ripped and fit. So, he's been doing his normal workout and running and I've been working a bit on my hips and that's it. I will pick the dress up for the bridal portraits and take it back for her to fit the sleeves and steam. I love my dress so much. I have plan for it after I am married. At for I wanted to sell but I could do that so I've research a few things to reuse the dress and I'm using a many as I can. Can't wait for him to see me in it!

MySpace to Our Place

Looking back at where we've been we've accomplished a lot. And, I'm happy that we are both really goal oriented. Anthony has never owned him own home and he wanted a house to walk my pass the threshold has grooms have done for the brides. Last year and this year he has bought and sold several homes but he hadn't found one the felt like home...plus he was concern if I would like it or not. However, last month he wanted me to see his latest purchase (which was normal) however, when he took me there he wanted the dogs to come so we drove over. On the drive it was further out then I liked but it was a great house it was spacious, had a large front and back year (1/2 an acre), it was clean, had a great layout and privacy. Little did I know he was feeling me out to see if I would like it for our house. But, I did...I loved the house and we excited that it would be ours. Plus the dogs loveeed the back yard. We closed on our house earlier this month and now it's time to pack up, leave the apartment and move on to our home as an almost married couple. It took two weeks for me to pack, trash and donate all of our items. The day of the move..I still had a few thing unpacked and we hadn't cleaned the apartment. But, since I did most of the packing my sweetheart told me not to worry about cleaning and the he would take care of it. COOL! So, on moving day, I packed my car with the dog and drove over. Got in the garage and couldn't find the keys to get into the house. Called Anthony and told him I couldn't find them. I thought they were somewhere in my junkie purse but they weren't. He found them in the apartment parking lot as they must have falling out of my purse somehow. The movers were still packing the truck so I had to find a way to not waste my time. So I ran a few errands and order pizza at Pizza Hut. On the way back I let the dogs in the back yard...we were there for about 20 minutes and then they arrived. We started to unpack the cars and truck with all our items. We ended up blowing up our mattress and sleeping on that because I threw away the little gizmo to put it together...Oh well! We'll get it done. For now...we're home. Living at our house! I'm lovin life and so grateful for all that we have.

4th of July

Independence Day fell on the weekend and our friends invited us to their lake house in Volente, TX which backs up to Lake Travis. Zak had asked us to bring our dogs before but I always told Anthony no because I didn't want to have to watch the dogs and hold Duncan. But, this time Antony was like "I'm going to watch them" I said okay because I'm going to be helping in the kitchen and drinking with the ladies so I'm not going to watch then and don't want to. So we decided...we're taking the dogs. As we're get dress I had my concerns as I know Alexis is a bit hyper around other dogs and Duncan is the opposite he'll wonder off to get away from other dogs but I believed that Anthony would handle everything. On our way he wanted to contribute to the festivities so we stopped by HEB got ice, hot dog, buns and a huge watermelon. As we arrived we got the items out the car and the dogs and headed to their house. We were on time and we couldn't stay the whole time as Anthony had to go to work. We were the first guest. Zak was getting the pit ready and Dani was upstairs. I hung out with them for just a moment then told Anthony I was going upstairs. I wanted to mention "remember to watch the dogs" but I didn't want to nag so I just told him I was headed up. He said okay. I helped Dani for about 30 minutes to an hour then when downstairs to check on the guys in the backyard. As I was walked down I saw our dog Alexis and their two dogs but no Duncan. So I asked Anthony where he was. He said "He's around here" I immediately started to look for him. I went down to the lake, over to the cars and near the front of the property. As I made to the backyard I saw Anthony and he asked "Did you find him" OMG!!!! My heart stopped. I knew he had wondered off. And, he's never been here before so maybe he's lost. Zak, Anthony and I started to look for him calling his name...but no Duncan. And hour later Dani was finished with the food prep and helped me look in the car. At this time I started to tear up. I dropped her back at the house and guest were starting to arrive and Anthony got in the car with me. 30 minutes later....still no Duncan. I got out and started to walk. I when next door but their weren't home. But, the house next to them the man just drove up in the garage. I announced myself. He told me it was his daughter's house and they weren't coming back until tomorrow. I gave him my number and he told me he would be on the look out, such a sweet man. After I left, I started to cry, I called my parents and talked to my Mom as I was feeling really scared and sick. My parents were in Victoria, TX as my uncle's place and offered to come help but they couldn't do anything. At this point I'm thinking he's lost, someone picked him up and had him or he's been eaten or hurt by another animal. Because he normally wonders but he doesn't go far. Then, I called Val and she calmed me down a little. I walked back to the street and Anthony got out to walk and I got in the car. By this time, some of the guest had arrived but started to help us with the search. This was terrible...this will possible ruin 4th of July. I was thinking, how can I forgive him if he's lost my dog...my baby! I was so scared. He got back in the car with me and we drove a bit more. He saw something and walked over. I was waiting in the car nervously. Then he yelled out "I found him" My heart began beating again. I drove as close as I could and ran toward them. Duncan was next door on their back porch just chilling. He had been missing for 3 hours. I was so happy that Anthony found him...once again my hero. He was at the house of the daughter that wasn't home. We drove back to the party. Everyone wanted to know what happened. They all got on Anthony for me so I didn't have to say anything. The party started it was fun the food and drinks were good. But then Alexis wasn't getting alone with another female dog and we had to calm them down. This was a very eventful day! On our way home I asked Anthony how he felt as he was so quiet when we didn't know where he was. He just said he was scared and didn't have anything to say as he knew it was his fault and told me it would never happen again.

Responses

How exciting today Anthony went to the PO Box and we received 6 accepts and 1 decline! He normally goes to his box weekly and we should have a good headcount. They are due back to us on August 1st and the final headcount is due to the venue on the 15th. Hopefully, everyone that wants to come will advise. And those that can't attend can make it up with a fabulous gift!

Invitations Sent

We put the invitations together, printed the maps, found the cutest stamps and got personal monogrammed stickers with our names and the seal. We mailed them out earlier this week to give our guest a month to RSVP. So, we can't change our minds now...and wouldn't want to! We sent the invitations our earlier this week and our first guest called and said they received it and their very excited. So are we! I'm trying to keep my cool and I can get a nervous stomach and I'm excited but trying to keep my feet on the ground. Anthony is so cute he is always counting down the days and saying we're getting married in X amount of days. He's so cute! We also, receive our other monogrammed favors for the wedding and can't wait for them to be displayed at the reception, its going to be a great party! We can't wait to see you there!
